  1. Historical Fiction and Romance are two of my favorite genres. The cover on the Weird book is sinister and you know it’s going to be taking you into the darkest corners like the scariest campfire stories. Glamour in Glass has a pristine young lady who can melt hearts with a glance.

  2. After hearing Jeff VanderMeer talk about Kafka, etc. in #torchat (as well as Ann’s amazing ability to engage with stories), I’m definitely looking forward to reading The Weird.

  3. Really enjoyed #torchat today, thanks for setting it up! I’m a fan of ‘weird’ fiction but haven’t read Mary Robinette Kowal’s stories – will definately check them out now after that chat!

  4. Just want to thank the authors for taking the time to do the chat, and Tor for helping to lead the way in DRM-free books.

  5. I think the best quote from today came from Jeff with: I’ll steal technique from a dead squirrel carcass if it helps me.

  6. already loving my copy of The Weird. Still don’t have Mary’s book though!

  7. Mary is an absorbing and talented author whether in short form or Historical Fantasy and the VanDermeers have compiled some masterful anthologies. I’d love reading both of these books.

  8. Great chat. Thanks to Mary, Ann and Jeff for all their great advice.

  9. Sorry I missed the chat, but I am definitely going to pick up a copy of The Weird (if I don’t win one) and have Glamour in Glass on request at the library. Thanks for the chance to have these in my home library!

  10. If you pick me, I get The Wierd and my wife gets the romance. Doesn’t that sound good?

  11. I would love the chance to read both of these books, they look so very interesting!

  12. These books look great. Hopefully, I get the chance to read them… For free! :)

  14. Those book looks like the kind I would read. Super cool. The Weird looks like one that I won’t be able to put down. I love both of the authors and I would love to add them to my bookshelf. Even tho it’s overflowing with books but that’s ok! :)

  15. These look interesting. I really like the cover art. Thanks for the chance to win.

  16. I’d love to win a couple new books + will definitely pass the word along

  17. This is a great giveaway. I haven’t had the pleasure of reading any books by these authors, but I can see that I have really missed an opportunity. I hope I win so that I might rectify my mistake.

  18. The covers of those books offer a lot of contrast, both visually and contextually. I think a successful cover makes you want to know more. Good job on both of these.

  19. I really liked Mary’s previous book. I’m looking forward to reading this one.

  20. I’ve been seeing The Weird in Barnes and Noble and other book stores and have wanted to buy it each time! It’s been too expensive. If I can win a free copy, I would be extremely happy! Glamour in Glass also looks excellent.
