    1. I’m in the U.S. Navy currently stationed in Jacksonville Florida. This would be awesome to play with friends and start a group going in my barracks. Plus would be a great birthday present for myself coming up next Tuesday. Hooyah!

  1. Do we have the carrying capacity for this much loot? Pffft! What am I saying? Who pays attention to carrying capacity?

  2. Looks great, haven’t done much gaming (outside of a console:)) since my early 80’s D & D days.

  3. I love the artwork they use for Pathfinder. Ten times better than anything DC or Marvel can put out.

  4. We recently started a neighborhood campaign of Pathfinder. This would be really helpful in building our gaming resources.

  5. All that stuff looks SO awesome. I love fantasy and have wanted to for some time now to get into D&D and roleplaying 🙂

  6. Excellent! We’ve been playing the adventure card game, and I’m intrigued by the world.

  7. Wish there were a contest for a full set of the Pathfinder Tales novels. Perhaps with the stipulation that you name a specific library to which they prize would be awarded. 🙂

  8. Played Pathfinder for the first time at UK Games Expo in Birmingham last weekend. Great game! Joined Pathfinders straight away. Really want to play more soon, this would be mightily handy!

  9. The Beginner’s Box is a great way to learn the game! It is a “rules-lite” version of Pathfinder, designed with new players in mind and a “must-have” for starting GMs intimidated by the 500+ page Core Rulebook!

I have yet to be disappointed by ANY of the Pathfinder Tales books from Dave Gross. Varian and Radovan are an interesting duo, and reading their adventures, each from their own perspective, is always a joy. I find these books very reminiscent of Fritz Leiber’s Fafhred and the Grey Mouser and recommend them to everyone!

  10. I would love to have starter set for the group I’m in to help interested potential players have an easy starting point.

  11. When some wild-eyed, eight-foot-tall maniac grabs your neck, taps the back of your favorite head up against the barroom wall, and he looks you crooked in the eye and he asks you if ya paid your dues, you just stare that big sucker right back in the eye, and you remember what ol’ Jack Burton always says at a time like that: “Have ya paid your dues, Jack?” “Yessir, the check is in the mail.”

  12. Oh, yes please! I’d love to win. I’m reading a Pathfinder novel right now. My first venture into Pathfinder. It is LIAR’S BLADE by Tim Pratt and it’s a lot of fun to read.

  13. Both great authors and the beginner’s box is amazing and always wanted to own my own copy.

  14. Love the game, and love Dave’s work. Strongly support him and encourage others to give his titles a read.

  15. I love this so much! There’s nothing like creating opportunities for new gamers to join the game! I hope I win! 😀

  16. I run a game for 7 teenagers (including my 13 year old son Caeden) and my 5 year old son Ronan. Ronan has decided after attending the last day of Paizocon, that he wants to work for Paizo, and he wants to GM Pathfinder games for the rest of us. He can’t read yet, but his creativity is off the charts.
“Dad! DAD!!! Okay, so Mohs is going to do two, not one, but TWO flips, slide under the skeleton’s legs, and Burning Hands his testicles!”

I’m encouraging his plans, so I’ll do the reading for him until he gets it down, and I’ll be his co-GM. He’ll do all the decision-making.

But this would be a great place to start. His own Beginner Box? He’s be in HEAVEN.

  17. Ping! Thanks for the opportunity. Pathfinder is one of my favorite D&D variants, and I’d love to use this to introduce new players to the game.

  18. I’ve played several versions of D&D but have always wanted to try pathfinder. This could be my chance!

  19. This would be so cool to get. My friends play Pathfinder and always wanted to give it a try

  20. this is really cool, I’ve been wanting to get into rpg tabletops for a few years now :D.

  21. I think this is a great sweepstakes and even if you have played for a while it is a nice carrot to put in front of your friends to get them to start.

  22. I’ve just started running games with my group. Would live to do a Pathfinder campaign

  23. “Comment”. Am I doing this right?

But seriously, cool offer! Everyone should have a chance to play some Pathfinder.

  24. Pathfinder was my daughter’s introduction to rpgs. I’d love to be able to give her her own set of books.

  25. Winning that would be great! Just moved with a 2 year old and had a newborn, so I need a new set so I can form a new group here in Delaware!

  26. What a great contest! The minis alone are worth entering for. I’ll cross my fingers, and cross promote if I win 😉

    Good luck everyone

  27. I’m taking baby steps introducing my kids to Pathfinder. Getting into a regular group is what I need to immerse myself in the real experience and I’ll customize it for the kids from there!

  28. I’m a long time GM but I know a few friends who would get this were I to win it.. My fantasy RPG game of choice!

  29. I’ve been considering becoming a DM. This would help me create a party’s certain adventuristic doom. 😀

  30. I’ve been looking for a chance to get into pathfinder. Here’s fingers crossed. Thank you Paizo!

  31. Sounds like a great offer to me. I am a devote D&D 3.5 player but I wouldn’t mind giving Pathfinder a shot.

  32. Pathfinder is one of the few RPGs I’ve missed out on. I would love a chance to start from the beginning and check it out!

  33. This would be an awesome way to get things started. I want it but whoever gets it is set to have some fun.

  34. Awesome contest! The few times I have been able to play, I have absolutely loved it. I am also currently reading Dave’s third book. Love those too!

  35. This is a fantastic idea and a great giveaway. Paizo makes an amazing product and has become a super strong torch holder for the hobby during the lean years for DnD and the future.

  36. I’ve wanted this since I first found tabletop and pathfinder. But real life and the costs to live it always come first. Nice thing you’re doing here. Thank you.

  37. we’ve been trying to start up and pass this great experience to our kids. Have a group of adults trying to learn the Pathfinder vs. D&D and a few of our kids ages 10-13. So far we’ve been using some of the society pdf games, it would be awesome to win this!

  38. I’ve dabbled at GMing, and would like to do more. This would be perfect! Consider this my entry.

  39. I’ve been playing pathfinder for a month or so now, just using the online resources. I’m a gigantic fan of the pathfinder art and style though, i’ve been wanting to add the sourcebooks to my library for awhile now. Roleplaying just isn’t the same without a physical rulebook and illustrations!

  40. So much want. Using the srd because am poor uni student. Having the actual books in hand would be fantastic.

  41. Pathfinder has been a most fun RPG since the first day I played it with my friends. This is an Awesome idea for a Sweepstakes.

  42. Winning would be cool.

I have the PF beginners box. If I win, can I have you donate that to a charity or youth group?

  43. Pathfinder brought me into the fold of many of my friends lives. Without them I would’ve felt lost but every game we played was a new memory I will never forget.

  44. I’m an avid lover of the Pathfinder Tales novels. A poster would be amazing and I have friends who could use the Beginner Box.

  45. I have never ever played a role playing game of this sort, I totally want to learn but have never played.

  46. My son is just getting into role playing games, I’m sure he’d love to try this.

  47. Great prize pack; I’d love to use that boxed set to introduce new payers to Pathfinder!

  48. Story time with Dave.

Long ago, in a far off mystical desert I was married. I began my first forays into Pathfinder with my ex-wife. Almost ten years later in a new wonderful relationship, these games, as well as many others, have gotten me through the worst parts of my life and been there for the best times. I think that spreading that is the most important and wonderful thing anyone can do. I would love to win these products, as they are conspicuously absent from my shelves. However, no matter who wins, this is a wonderful thing to do and I am filled with joy to see it happening.

  49. I learned how to RPG way back with original (pre-A) D&D and still love it. My daughter and her friends play Pathfinder, and say it’s the best thing going out there! I’d love to find out for myself! My wife has never, ever played a RPG. Time she learned!

  50. I’m starting a campaign soon, and this would definitely help the new members to learn how to play! Plus a few goodies for myself! =P

  51. Really enjoy Pathfinder and it’s many products! These types of games have been my main source of entertainment for so long, I’d love to pass the torch to my kids. So far, though, neither has shown the bug…Maybe one day!

  52. although the beginner box is cool (and it really really is) I’ve been playing Pathfinder since the beta so if you pick me, i’d gladly give away that main prize for that awesome Novel! I absolutely love the Pathfinder setting. You guys rock!

  53. I’m really excited that Tor will be publishing Pathfinder novels … And in the larger format!

  54. We haven’t really gone back to the other game platforms since we discovered Pathfinder, and I have fallen in love with my Catfolk Ninjas! Who needs anything else?

  55. Pathfinder is awesome and a great system to learn. Would love to win this to play with my friends.

  56. My wife has been looking to get started in role playing… Might as well get her started on the right foot with a beginner’s package like this! Thanks for the opportunity!

  57. I hope to bring my children into the world of gaming and role playing. I’ve made so many great memories and friends through gaming over the years.

  58. After years of persisting from my husband, I finally started trying my hand on RPG. This would be an amazing gift!!!

  59. Good sirs, I wish to put myself into this entry system for the chance to bathe in RPG riches!

  60. I’ve been dying to get my circle of friends involved in RPGs and would love to use this set to initiate them!

  61. This sounds like a great way to both get started as a GM, and a way to get new friends/roommates into gaming when I go to college this fall.

  62. Looks great, haven’t done much gaming (outside of a console:)) since my early 80’s D & D days.

  63. A beginner box would be awesome. I’ve wanted to try to get my daughter into gaming and this might be an awesome way to do it. /fingers crossed

  64. We play mostly White Wolf games and so far my only exposure to Pathfinder is through the card game and comics, which I love. I cannot wait to try out the RPG version!! I actually just made a character inspired by Amiri for one of our other games, though I’d much prefer to play a similar character in the Pathfinder games! *fingers crossed* 🙂

  65. Love the game. Would love the beginner box to help my kids and their friends get started into the game 🙂

  66. Aww thats pretty awesome.. This would be perfect for me to get some people into it in my new area..

  67. This would be a great way to get my girlfriend comfortable with playing Pathfinder!

  68. Pick me! Pick me! I have a 6 year old to indoctrin…uh, teach about the awesomeness of Pathfinder and the storytelling of Dave Gross.

  69. Thos would be so great to win…I have some friends who want to start playing but cant easily afford to…

  70. Pathfinder is such a great system to use that’s why I would love to win this

  71. As a big RPG fan, I have always wanted to try playing Pathfinder. It looks like it is here to stay. …and possibly over take D&D.

  72. Sounds like a wonderful prize.I personally don’t play many RPG games. I am really bad at them, but my brother and his friends love them. This prize would make a terriffic gift for them.

  73. Fantasy is quickly moving up the charts of my favorites. Thanks for introducing me to all these new authors.
